1. Enforce true and fair sharing of the oil revenue. Base it on the Alaska Permanent Fund model. Then the choice becomes get money or die in the continuing fighting: Most people would prefer the money.
2. Build up the Iraqi army to fight Al Quada, send them to Afghanistan. AQ is actually Iraq's enemy, the USA are the good guys in this fight but have been terribly managed. This would get a lot of fighters out of Iraq, pay them, align them with the USA against AQ.
Simplistic suggestions but why not?

Who is our enemy? What do to?
Certainly, bush & co. have damaged america more than any enemy could. No enemy could separate all our allies from us, and no enemy could send our military into the wrong country for the wrong reasons. Does bush & co. have any idea how bad they are? Probably not, he and his gang are completely delusional.
So we as a people, as a world, can organize to go after the real enemy that Bush cannot: call the enemy bin Laden, call them alqada or taliban, or militant islam, but they all exist because there is an empty space that they can fill. That empty space is created by institutional greed and corruption and [insert list of problems here] and just plain human nature. Maybe people who just plain care can fill the void before the murderers do?
Our military cares, but few trust the commander in chief to do the right things for the right reasons. And yet if we don't support our own people we can do nothing, and that's bad too. So what to do?
Maybe cleaning up our own mess internally is a good thing, because after that we may get the global support we deserve for doing the right thing.

Are you letting your opposition to Bush allow bin Laden to get away?
Remember when alqada attacked the USA and most of the world was on our side against the terrorists?
And then Bush alienated most everyone in the world, and half the USA, and no one wanted to help get bin Laden anymore because it would mean being on Bush's side?
Well, how about not letting Bush get in the way of getting bin Laden? This is another good reason to impeach Bush and the rest of the liars who got us into the war in Iraq on false pretexts, get them out of the way, and show the world that we can correct our mistakes, and then ask the world to rejoin us in the hunt for bin Laden and the rest of alqada.
Orange jumpsuits for all of them.

Beginnings & Endings - the orange ribbon campaign
Fixing the beginning of the war in Iraq could fix the ending.
How do you fix the beginning after it's happened?
Accountability maybe?
Misleading and lying people into a war is just plain wrong and everyone knows this, though not everyone knows that this is what happened.
Bring the guilty to justice and ask the World to help put things right again.
Use the trial of the Bush administration as a healing event for the whole planet.
And then bring Alqada, bin Laden, and their allies to justice. They are the other half of the problem, I think the worse half. Why? For one thing, they would kill me for saying this, and kill you for reading it, while Bush would just ignore us.
So I made a website to give the idea of the Orange Ribbon to signify bringing everyone involved to justice, and they would wear orange prison jumpsuits after that if they were guilty. http://theorangeribbon.googlepages.com
It's not much, but with your help it could do a lot. Please feel free to copy the idea and the website, and spread the word.
